A ‘robot dancer’ gave South Africa all the smiles recently after his moves drove many locals to joyful destinations with many even sharing that moments like this are the reason they wouldn’t trade our country for the world!

South Africa (16 July 2024) — South Africans have said it before, and we’ll say it again: being bored in our country is a crime! This sentiment also happened to be one of the most-liked comments on a recent viral video that drove viewers to joyful emotions after a ‘robot dancer’ mover and shaker busted out all the moves during a red light; hyped up by the driver who was blasting the tunes.

Now, if you never take to South Africa’s busy roads, you’d be forgiven for wondering why a Beyoncé-challenging groove session might be taking place at a robot. Most of the time, there isn’t exactly an answer beyond the fact that South Africans love to have fun and won’t hesitate to show off their moves, no matter where we are. From traffic directors to bubbly strangers, dancing at the robots is just a fairly unique part of our culture, as is playing our music at full volume.

TikTok user Josh Jacobs was blasting Cassie’s Me and You at the right light when a man standing at the robots transformed into a full-on robot dancer with the most infectious smile.

What made the video especially heartwarming was that Josh hyped the man up while he danced, which in turn hyped Josh up for his drive ahead.

The video received over 75,000 likes, with many South Africans sharing that moments like this are the reason they’ll never leave South Africa and why they love our country so much.
