Klein Roosboom Boutique Winery introduced their viticulturist on International Merlot Day, and it set social media on fire!

South Africa (11 November 2021) – We recently shared the new Firefighters of Australia 2022 Calendar, and you all loved it so much, you joked about moving to Australia. We can confirm that there is no need to move… far that is!

The Klein Roosboom Boutique Winery in Durbanville, Western Cape, recently shared a post in celebration of International Merlot Day. They introduced their viticulturist to the world, and the world nearly melted!

A viticulturist specialises in the cultivation or culture of grapes, especially for winemaking. Viticulturists with advanced degrees are often found developing, breeding, and evaluating new varieties of grapes.

Nicol De Villiers developed the Nicol Merlot, which has fast become a favourite with guests and visitors at the vineyard.

The vineyard is celebrating men’s health in November and advocate that a glass of merlot is Cape Town’s best-kept health secret.

So, cheers to that! We are off to cool off before the move to Cape Town. (Only joking!)
