Several Olympians made their time in Paris that much more special by opting to take the excitement from the podium to the aisle! Here are the athletes who added wedding bells to victory cries:
Global (16 August, 2024)—Amid the many famed perfumes that hail from Paris, the most popular scent known for perfuming the air in France’s Capital is love. After all, Paris is nothing if not the City of Lights—especially those that glow in our hearts for another. For a handful of Olympians, love competed with podium moments at the recently concluded Paris Olympic Games, with the news that several athletes decided to get engaged and begin their new aisle dreams.
According to multiple sources, the number of proposals that took place was its own record for the Olympics. Some athletes decided to get down on one knee after standing tall on the podium. Others were met with congrats and proposals from their non-competing partners after their moments in the sun. And others were couples competing for wins simultaneously who chose to make a victory of love all their own.
Here are the athletes that were inspired to take their relationships from the Games to the aisle!
