Jenna Lowe is an incredible South Afri-CAN who inspired a nation and created real change.

Johannesburg, South Africa (19 August 2015) – Jenna suffered from a rare lung disorder called pulmonary hypertension and was told at the age of 19, that without a double lung transplant she would not live to 21.

She decided to start a campaign, called ‪#‎GetMeTo21‬. Jenna created a website and posted a video to YouTube in which she asked everyone who watched to become an organ donor and in return, invited all donors to her 21st birthday.

Brent Lindeque and #TheGoodStuff team spoke to Jenna a week after she started her campaign. Listen to the incredible interview below:

Combining two dreams, Jenna wanted to make a difference by raising awareness about organ donation in South Africa and to live to see her 21st birthday.

More than 5,000 people signed up directly from Jenna’s own website and more than that; she inspired more than 30,000 people to register as organ donors… with that number still climbing.

“Because, the more people there are, and the more people that sign up now, the more likely it is that I will be able to join you.”
