Linda Crawford stepped up to fundraise for the all-female anti-poaching unit, The Black Mambas, by tackling a whopping 160 kilometre-spanning series of walks all over the world!

Global (22 August 2024) — In an inspiring effort to raise funds for the all-female anti-poaching champions, The Black Mambas, London-based Linda Crawford has stepped up to the occasion exceptionally!

Deciding to do her part in supporting the women that protect so much of South Africa’s precious wildlife, Linda signed up for the Wildlife Ranger Challenge with hopes that she would complete her target (160kms) by the end of the year.

However, after 17 separate days that have taken her all over the world—from South Africa alongside the Black Mambas themselves all the way to Italy, Northern Spain, Norway, Turku (Finland) and now London—Linda has already surpassed her kilometre target at 161.6km!

Part of the Wildlife Ranger Challenge, an initiative by NPO Tusk and the Game Rangers Association of South Africa, people from all walks of life are hiking and walking for the wildside to make a difference for nature’s unsung heroes.

For over 10 years, The Black Mambas have been a source of immense inspiration to their community and South Africans all over. From breaking barriers in the male-dominated world of rangers to their non-violent approach to protecting wildlife and, of course, the many animals they have saved from poaching traps—their work cannot be understated.

But a hero’s task is not synonymous with generous funding, which is where humans like Linda come in!

You can support Linda’s challenge here.
