The Springboks may have won against Wales, but after the match, they had their flight home cancelled. They did not let it get them down; they got dancing!

Heathrow, London (25 June 2024) – After the stellar win against Wales in the first match of the reigning champion’s season, the Springboks were ready to head home but a twist of luck meant their flight was cancelled. Instead of hanging their heads in annoyance, the Boks got dancing!

The team showed their winning spirit and had some fun with the extra time on their hands. Author, journalist, and marketing specialist Shanthini Naidoo was there to witness the fun and share the wholesome moments on social media for all to enjoy.

Shanthini shared that they ended up spending the night at a hotel waiting for an alternative flight, and the Boks were right there with her and her daughters.

“So we ended up on a stayover with the Boks in London 🇬🇧.
It’s like a strange dream. Lovely guys, shared biltong with my girls at a 1 am check in. Then,
I got lost in a stairwell with Edwill van der Merwe. Accidentally opened another team member’s hotel room door…”

The trip turned into one that Shanthini and her family will never forget. The team were only ever accommodating, kind and thoughtful, all the things that true winners are made of. It goes to show, why they are the golden guys of South Africa. These videos are making us smile!
