World Cancer Day is on the 4th of February, The Pink Table Project and Zomato have teamed up with over 60 restaurants to raise funds for PinkDrive.

The Pink Table Project was launched in South Africa on World Cancer Day 2016. It was a great success with over 80 participating restaurants and more than 1000 generous guests. The success of the event has meant it was able to launch internationally with Lebanon joining the 2017 campaign and going global to more than 10 countries in 2018.

“The Pink Table Project on World Cancer Day is a Global Initiative challenging restaurants worldwide to host Pink Table Dinner Parties & Cancer Support Fundraisers in aid of a beneficiary in their country.”

The aim of the event is to raise awareness on healthy eating in cancer prevention but also to raise as much money for cancer beneficiaries as possible. This year all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to PinkDrive.

“Our primary focus is #IFoundHealthy, where we aim to prove that not only do most restaurants have Healthier Menu Items available for their patrons but that Restaurant Chefs can excite us with Healthy Eating options, showing us that Healthy can be both Decadent & Delicious. In doing so we want to discover and celebrate the World’s Healthiest Menu’s with the launch of a special healthy Pink Menu on World Cancer Day.”

The event was inspired by the World Health Organization, they stated that up to 40% of cancers can be prevented by healthy eating and lifestyle. The hope is that the project elevates the success of those decisions.

So, join us, ‘Dressed in Pink and Left to Sparkle’, as we Celebrate Good Food in Good Restaurants, being inspired to not only find ways to indulge in healthy living so that we can learn to manage our own Wellness Journey, but to enjoy every second of that experience, all the while supporting global Cancer organizations whose daily task it is to support those who can’t always help themselves.

The price of the ticket is R 148.00 per person and the patrons will dine as per usual at one of the many restaurants of their choice. The restaurants selected, cater to various budgets. All the information about the Pink Table Project can be found here on their website and a list of participating restaurants located in your area is available on Zomato.
