The Music Run

The Music Run by Old Mutual was a huge success! Runner’s had the pleasure of getting fit while rocking through a music festival.

The Music Run, took place over the weekend and it was a huge success. Runners all gathered at the Riversand Farm Village to take part in the evening run and festival fun.

The run was 5km of fun! There were 5 musical themes throughout the run, each one had an interactive stand promoting the music genres, rock, pop, hip hop, dance and old school. There were over 120 speakers pumping music of the various genres at each point along the race.

The participants of the race had the opportunity to select the music that was played during the run by voting for their favourite songs on the The Music Run App. The run has already been successfully hosted in Los Angeles, New York, Bangkok and Hamburg.

After the 5km run there was an awesome music festival.

“Crowds were treated to an evening packed with entertainment, which featured live performances by The Muffinz and DJ Euphonik.”

After the run, the festival geared up with live bands, dancers and world class Dj’s. There were chill-out zones for people to recuperate after the run and there were also loads of giveaways.

The runner’s loved the event and many have praised how well it went on the Music Run’s Facebook page.
