Once again, it has earned a spot on the Big 7 Travel “Most Instagrammable” list.
The list was started in 2019 by the travel media company and has become something to look forward to each year. Millions of travellers worldwide do research to find their next holiday destination, and lists like the “Most Instagrammable” are just the type of thing that will entice travellers to visit South Africa.
Travel is at the heart of many people, with the world getting back to normal again, or new normal. Being restricted, forced to stay apart from family, and delaying travel plans for over two years, the prospect of travel in 2022 is exhilarating!
Cape Town has been selected for the Big 7 Travel Most Instagrammable list for the fourth year in a row. Selection for this list is made by using several judging methods.

In 2019, Cape Town landed 5th on the list, 2020 earned 15th place, and in 2021, Cape Town got 45th place.
This year, the Mother City has earned the 22nd spot on the list. In the past, Cape Town has ranked much higher on the list. With everything that has happened, we know that as soon as travellers start exploring Cape Town and South Africa as a whole, that ranking will definitely be restored to a higher spot.
