An incredible initiative has been founded to create a new culture of learning. A living legacy of learning, transformation and freedom for future.

At the core of all great nations has been the love and stimulation of learning. Strong countries and communities throughout time have been built upon this foundation.

We are crumbling at our core. Our schools and universities are burning. Our youth are angry and disillusioned. Most of our children are being abandoned to lives of poverty, ignorance and illiteracy. Economic growth has stalled and employment is declining and we have failed to create a sustainable legacy not only for the current generation, but for generations to come. The gaps between the haves and the have nots is ever widening, and unless we do things differently to address these gaps, we will continue on a downward spiral.

SA Learns has been set up as a Social Cause Marketing brand and campaign to galvanise learning as THE key driver for prosperity, growth and the excitement in who we are as a nation for all South Africans in particular our youth. It is a legacy brand that seeks to build a nation and a prosperous future for generations to come.

We are calling all South Africans regardless of race, age, gender and culture to invest themselves in lifelong learning and education, to be a part of the core that is needed in developing our people and our country.

South Africa has so much potential, so much possibility and has the most incredible people and cultures. Opportunities for the country and her people to take our rightful place in the world are being squandered.

Much can be done via learning to change this reality.

SA Learns is a call to action to create, develop and foster of a learning culture in South Africa as a means to economic growth, employment and engagement.

SA Learns is a Community of Practice aimed at bringing together members from all walks of South African life to address the bedrock in the building of a nation – LEARNING.

“Learning unites citizens together, it fosters transmission of wisdom from “elders” to the “younger generation” in the way of the traditions of old. Learning IS the golden thread that connects and facilitates national unity and nation building.”
