Thanks to over 25,000 acts of kindness, Easter was made that much better for people in need of a little joy in Johannesburg!

Johannesburg, South Africa (02 April 2024) — Easter was made that much better in Johannesburg after a little extra love went a very long way thanks to over 25,000 small acts of kindness!

What began as One SMALL Act of Kindness’s (OSAK) goal to hunt for 10,000 easter eggs for families in need, informal settlement communities, foster homes and hospitals among other charitable pursuits, turned into a massive marshmallow and chocolate-filled achievement.

Not only was the goal of 10,000 easter eggs achieved in grandeur, it was also nearly tripled thanks a whopping 25,006 collected eggs.

“From schools to companies to family and friends. we have passed our target of 10,000 with flying colours,” OSAK announced, beaming.

For the organisation dedicated to putting the act in impact, the answer to their community ‘Easter Egg hunt’ will be a small reason for so many who are struggling to keep fighting forward “because there are still people who care out there.

“When communities come together, to make a difference—moments like this are what we live for!” OSAK added.

Earlier this year, One SMALL Act of Kindness also brought about a score of smiles on Valentine’s Day and reignited a sense of purpose for people they feed in the mornings thanks to their V-Day posters of kindness initiative.

The Easter act undoubtedly touched many Joburgers’s lives with a little sweetness and hops alongside other massive Easter initiatives we have celebrated recently.

From Dr Bull’s veterinary clinic, who collected enough Easter Egg boxes to build a small house, to the Angel Network, who proved once again why they’ve earned their wings—many hands played a part in an eggstra-special Easter 2024.
