The Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award for Favourite African ‘Kidfluencer’ 2023 now belongs to the gifted Lethu at only 3 years old. However, her influencership stretches far beyond adorable charm.

Last year, Lethu made the internet do a double-take after her ability to read at just two years old went viral. Deemed something of a prodigy, what started as a digital scrapbook of Lethu’s learning journey soon became an educational platform with almost 1 million followers on TikTok.

Her social media pages are dedicated to teaching parents how to educate their toddlers. Videos like ‘things you can teach your child while you shop’, ‘want to start your child on coding?’ and an entire platter of educational content can all be found on @lethu_nanas

The US award screening of the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award was held in Rosebank where Lethu proudly held her temporary blip-trophy until the real deal arrives from the States.

According to Lethu’s father who spoke to YOU, Lethu is the youngest person to ever win the award. She may be tiny, but this is no small feat.
We love to see our little South Africans doing big things, and Lethu’s story is a powerful reminder of the potential we have in our country!
