A small Christmas hamper of goodies can help bring joy and warmth to the lives of seniors in need, ensuring that they feel valued and cherished during this special time of year – This is how to sponsor a senior:
Johannesburg, South Africa (02 September 2024) – The business and demands of life often get us so caught up in our own things that it’s so easy to overlook those who have come before us. The elderly, often shifted to the sidelines of society, can feel forgotten and alone.
As the holiday season approaches, Beanies for Beings is calling on all of us to help remember that these individuals who have shaped our world deserve a little something special this Christmas.
In partnership with Stitch & Bitch Charity Projects, the charity is putting together goodie hampers for the seniors and security staff of Tornado Park Old Age Centre in Roodepoort.
Individuals, students, families and businesses are encouraged to help spread some love to our seniors this festive season.
Supporters of the worthy cause can donate a full hamper, funds to purchase the goodies or donate any items you can from the hamper to put completed ones together.
According to Beanies for Beings, students looking to do their community service can earn three hours of community service by donating a complete hamper.
If you are looking for a worthy cause to support or hoping to spread some festive cheer this year, this is a pretty good place to start.
