“Many Xhosa men have had an issue with me pole dancing, so I thought I would pole dance in heels and give them more to have an issue about! Don’t forget, I can still kick your ass while wearing these heels.” – Siv Ngesi
Johannesburg, South Africa (12 July 2022) – Noted as one of SA’s most dynamic personalities, who’s never afraid to speak his mind, actor Sivuyile “Siv” Ngesi is going viral after pole dancing in heels.
From Safta nominated adventurous presenter on the magazine programme “Man Cave”, to witty co-presenter of the global travel show Winging It, to charming cooking show host on “Jou Ma se Chef”, and as host of corporate events and conferences from “Durban to Dubai”, and online social commentator, Siv brings his unique brand to everything he does.
And now he’s bringing it to the world of male pole dancing.
Pole dancing combines dance and acrobatics centred on a vertical pole. This performance art form takes place not only in gentleman’s clubs as erotic dance but also as a mainstream form of fitness, practised in gyms and dedicated dance studios… and it’s for both men and women!
Pole dancing has gained popularity as a form of exercise with increased awareness of general strength and fitness benefits. These forms of exercise increase core and general body strength by using the body itself as resistance while toning the body as a whole, and Ngesi is showing South Africa what kind of strength it takes to “work that pole”!
The South African wants men to know that there is nothing wrong with pole dancing.
