Northwood School’s spirited war cry, celebrating South Africa’s rugby champions, the Springboks, has taken the internet by storm.
Durban, South Africa (23 August 2024) – Northwood School in Durban North not only exudes brotherhood but can deliver a war cry that will have just about any South African filled with national pride!
Celebrating the Springboks’ back-to-back World Cup victories, the boys’ powerful chant, filled with pride, passion, and vibrant hues of green and gold, a video of their latest chant has gone viral.
Sending goosebumps and good feels, the war cry challenge entry from the school’s “Knights”, boasted school spirit and patriotism.
Roaring from the top of their lungs with a rousing display of patriotism, the boys can be heard chanting:
“Green and gold is in our flag
2023 we put the World Cup in our hands
Kolisi is our captain and Rassie is our man
All Blacks have no chance
We gon keep it in our hands
The Bokke stay in our sight
Don’t come to play
They came to fight
Forever green and gold
Said it from the Knights.”
The school’s vibrant energy and powerful message have resonated with social media viewers across the country, showcasing the school’s unwavering spirit and love for their nation.
