Bundles of Joy

The Grace Factory helped hundreds of moms and tots across the country with 400 bundles of joy — maternity packs filled with essential goodies!

South Africa (17 October 2024) — Vulnerable mothers-to-be across our country know that when a bold, colourful bag with the Grace Factory’s lettering comes knocking; so too does the answer to many prayers. These bags are bundles of joy filled with essential goodies that make all the difference for an expecting mom who, often, already has enough stress on her shoulders.

The Grace Factory had a busy weekend in both Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal, where packing sessions of 200 maternity packs in each province ensued. Thanks to these efforts, 400 moms can breathe a sigh of relief in knowing that their little ones will have a starter kit of care.

The Grace Factory’s packs are filled with many little gifts that make a big difference. The items generally include baby clothes, nappies, wet wipes, baby soap, maternity pads and breast pads, amongst others.

After they are carefully packed by the incredible network of volunteers, they are sent off to hospitals, clinics, social workers and other community partners that work with the Grace Factory.

A mission that’s been going strong since 2012, the Grace Factory has long acted like motherhood’s Santa, helping provide countless moments of dignity and relief.

Those looking to support the Grace Factory can do so in a myriad of ways:

  • Support their BackaBuddy fundraiser
  • Donate specific items (you can find their full list here)
  • Sponsor a packing day yourself
  • Or, if you can, host a donation drive!
