Halle Robinson turned kitchen chaos into comedy gold with a hilarious role-play of popular food influencer Nara Smith.
Johannesburg, South Africa (09 August 2024) – Nara Smith has taken the social media world by storm and has gained popularity for her videos of how she creates elaborate meals “from scratch” in her pristine modern kitchen and distinct monotonous voice.
Poking fun at Nara’s content was a local social media user, Halle Robinson, who shared a hilarious video of herself making apple crumble from scratch which Lukcy had been craving, imitating the way Nara speaks and moves around her kitchen.
And as if that wasn’t funny enough, Halle showcased how she stuck labels of brands of expensive kitchen appliances on her less-than-fancy ones.
She stuck Smeg labels on her microwave and kettle, a Le Creuset label on her bowl and Carrol Boyes drawings on her crockery. But her makeshift “kitchen aid” mixer – which was really just a drawing – left many netizens with belly aches from laughter.
If that final taste test is anything to go by, despite all the banter and comedy, Halle’s apple crumble appeared to have turned out pretty well.
One thing is for certain: SA’s creativity is unmatched, and we can find fun and humour in just about anything! Now, that is something Mzansi can “make from scratch” any day!
